In recent years, questions were asked whether the composer was music student 王洛賓 Wang Loubin who heard the tune from the caravan nomads during his visit to Kang Ding. A Deputy Minister of the Ganzi autonomous prefecture who is himself a Kang Ding resident, said that the original song was "Horse Galloping on Rolling Plains". The singer who performed and popularised this song in the 1940s 喻宜萱 Yu Yixuan is now in her 90s, confirmed that the song was not rearranged by Wang. The search is still on to find the origins of this song. |
